The Iron Ranger is one of the most popular Red Wing styles worldwide. In 2017, the model was further developed, which led to all Iron Ranger models being built with the Vibram 430 sole instead of the Nitrile Cork. The recessed tread in the sole provides better grip on uneven terrain without being visually obtrusive.

The vintage look with its special hardware creates a distinctive appearance that further enhances the authentic and rugged charm of this boot. This boot can be worn both matte and polished. The name can be traced back to the Mesabi Iron Range in northern Minnesota. Decades ago, miners needed a boot that could withstand harsh conditions. The reinforced toe cap with additional leather and the elaborately designed heel construction already defied the most adverse circumstances back then.
