Description
The 1907 Sashiko Kase-Dye is made from a 14oz selvedge Sashiko denim. Sashiko stands for Japanese textile craftsmanship and tradition.
The warp and weft threads are indigo-dyed using Kase-Zome (Hank Dyeing). Here, the yarns are repeatedly dipped in indigo in skeins before weaving. This gives each skein slightly different color nuances. The result is a denim that develops a unique fading over time due to its irregular and lively surface, and also becomes softer.
