The cherry blossom, which heralds spring, is the most important flower in Japanese culture. The dye is extracted from the cherry blossoms by boiling and the yarn is then dyed light pink before being used for the weft. The warp yarns are rope-dyed with a combination of natural and synthetic indigo, creating a yarn that has the beautiful blue hue of natural indigo but fades like regular denim. These yarns are also blended with Samurai's domestically grown organic cotton, resulting in a fantastic texture and good moisture-wicking properties. The cut is regular straight.
